THIRD CULTURE KIDS

COUNSELING AND SUPPORT FOR THIRD CULTURE KIDS (TCK), ADULT THIRD CULTURE KIDS (ATCK), AND THEIR FAMILIES.

Third culture kid (TCK) is a term used to refer to children raised in a culture other than their parents' (or the culture of the country given on the child's passport, where they are legally considered native) for a significant part of their early development years. They are exposed to a greater variety of cultural influences and often have difficulties identifying with their "passport country" or the country they reside in resulting in them developing a separate "third culture" for themselves. Examples of TCKs are Missionary Kids (MKs), military kids, foreign aid worker's children and children of businessmen and women living and working internationally.

I understand the TCK experience including its benefits, its challenges, and the unique mental health needs of the global nomad.  If you are a TCK, and struggling with depression, relationship issues, identity issues, or unresolved grief and trauma,  I am here to help.
