Back of Girl in a Yard

AS A PARENT OR CAREGIVER, IT CAN BE INCREDIBLY DIFFICULT TO WATCH YOUR CHILD STRUGGLE.

IF YOU HAVE NOTICED CHANGES IN YOUR CHILD’S MOOD OR BEHAVIOR OR IF YOU CHILD IS EXPERIENCING DIFFICULTY COPING WITH GRIEF, LOSS, TRAUMA, OR UNEXPECTED CHANGES, I CAN HELP.

It can be scary, overwhelming, and frustrating when your child doesn't seem like themselves. You watch them struggling at school, at home, or with peers. You want to fix it, but don't know how. That is where I come in.

Because every child is different, I utilize a variety of tools and approaches; including game-based cognitive behavioral therapy, EMDR, sand tray, bibliotherapy, and expressive arts therapy to help meet your child’s unique needs.

Younger children often lack the cognitive ability to process what has happened to them using verbal communications. This can leave parents feeling powerless to know what is wrong or how to help. As the natural language of children, play is one of the best ways to understand their feelings, thoughts, and experiences. As a Registered Play Therapist, I am trained and skilled in understanding play as communication. I use play to process a child’s experiences in a safe environment while helping them find better way to cope with their feelings and problems.
